An Hour or Two: Palermo is too big to hedge your bets—your best bet is to pick one major museum (Museo Evita or MALBA) or park, and go for it.

A Full Day: start with a morning ramble through Parque Tres de Febrero, then go arty at the MALBA and Museo Xul Solar, historical at Museo Evita, or back-to-nature at the zoo, Japanese Garden, and Botanical Garden. Shoppers have been known to spend their whole trip in Palermo Viejo, but a couple of hours and a meal are enough to get a feel for it.
